Those visiting Zacatecas will have the opportunity to enjoy diverse cultural and musical activities that draw national and international talent.

Festival Cultural Zacatecas – This festival is one of the most important cultural events in Zacatecas. It offers dance, music, literature, theatrical performances, film, art exhibits and much more. It takes place during the Easter vacation period in March and April.

Festival Zacatecas del Folclor Internacional – This international folklore festival takes place during the third week of August. Folkloric groups from various countries and numerous states in Mexico offer representations of their culture and traditions in dance, crafts and cuisine.

Otoño Musical de Zacatecas – During the month of October the city hosts this famed musical festival, which includes performances by the school of music from the Zacatecas Autonomous University. Local musicians and special guests also participate in the event.

Teatro Calderon – Located at 501 Avenida Hidalgo. This theatre is the city’s main cultural venue and one of the most important architectural treasures in Zacatecas. Its svelteness and strategic location allow you to appreciate its beauty from all angles. The three-tiered façade and the building’s crest give it the appearance of an impressive construction from the classical period. The wide lobby is conservative, yet elegant due to its large mirrors. Open daily from 10:00 to 9:00.
